These Booties Were Made For Walkin’

Today is a very special day!  Now I am a girl who loves her shoes, pumps, flats, sneakers and boots you name it, I love it.  But my girl Sierra has a shoe collection even Kim K would be jealous of!  So today she is making her Dollface Diaries debut dropping some bootie knowledge on you all!

No matter the season, there’s nothing I love more than a good ankle boot. My shoe rack is constantly flourishing with new additions and I can’t stop, won’t stop. Sure, I like flats, sandals, and the occasional sneaker as much as the next girl, but in my world the ankle boot reigns supreme. If you’re looking to up your bootie game, here are my top 3 recommendations to add to your closet, along with some fun ways to style them.

Ride or Die

Shoes: Steve Madden

The Ride Or Die

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, needs a pair of black ankle boots. I bought a pair similar to these bad boys last Fall and loved them so much, the cashier literally scanned them off my foot and I wore them out the store. These are perfect to throw on with any outfit and I love that these are a little different from your typical Chelsea boot. Plus, the chunky heel adds some much needed height.

Pop of Color

Shoes: GoJane

The Pop of Color

I’m a huge advocate for the “All Black Everything” way of life, but every once in a while the Queen of Darkness needs to take a break and show some love to the lighter shades (and yes, white and gray are considered colors). Without getting too crazy, I opt for a pair of burgundy cutout boots. These are perfect for transitioning in to the warmer months and make your “dressed in black head to toe” look a little less intimidating.

Shoes: DSW

Last but not least is the heeled ankle boot. At a mere 5’2 ¼”, homegirl NEEDS a heeled bootie. These make me feel like the tall, strong, powerful woman that I am. Seriously…I start channeling my inner Tyra as I strut and smize around the office as if it’s the catwalk in the season finale of ANTM. I don’t really need to say more than that. Get yourself a pair and you’ll see what I mean.

I hope you enjoyed my bootie-licious faves. What are your go-to shoes?
