Do New Year’s Resolutions Right

snow13Its that time of year again, when we all think about the year ahead of us and how we want to eat less sugar or, work out more. I definitely find myself going back to I want to live a healthier life every year, and I have to admit I do fall off the wagon like many in most of my resolutions. But I feel like each year I set many goals for myself, and try to stick to at least one.  Last year my biggest resolution was trying to eat a mostly vegetarian diet and I have definitely kept with that all year.  So this year my resolutions will be focused on living a healthier lifestyle.

Plant Based Diet:

Again, I have seen such an improvement in my overall health and energy levels after starting a mostly plant based diet.  I don’t completely deprive myself of foods that I love but I definitely eat way less these days, I also try not to buy any meat products when grocery shopping and that helps me eat healthier. So this year I will try to cut down a little more, and maybe limit dairy even more.

Stay Organized:

Next, I think staying organized and creating head space will be a huge work in progress for me.  I’m one who’s life is ruled by lists and I really need to create more effective ways of clearing my head and creating organized lists.  Especially when it comes to content for the blog and tasks for work.

Stay Motivated:

I want to find fun and unique ways to keep myself motivated.  This I think will go hand in hand with the last resolution, whether its life, or my blog I want to find ways to keep myself inspired and motivated everyday.

Snap My Life:

Next, I want to take more pictures.  I take pictures for the blog but they are mostly staged images.  I want to take more pictures of my everyday life.  I was also thinking starting a Youtube channel where I share clips from fun things I do, hauls, and maybe even make up tutorials would be kind of fun to share more of who I am.

Gym Time:

Finally, I want to make more time for the gym.  I have been doing aerial for over a year now and it’s the best workout I could possibly imagine but to make my silks even better I think I should be building those muscles even when I’m not on the silks.  I think making sure to prep my gym bag and setting aside time on my calendar will hold me accountable for that time everyday.
