Spring’s number one fashion trend is probably always flowers. You hit spring and I feel like my outfits always contain some kind of flower print. But second to flowers I think spring is the season of rain boots. For one, they are very useful for those rainy days, and two… how doesn’t love a little puddle stomping every once in a while!? I personally find a classic pair of hunters to be the perfect staple for those cloudy days. So today I wanted to share my favorite ways of styling my Wellies.
First, of course you can’t go wrong with leggings, as you know winter was my season for leggings. Athleisur is a big trend and I think it’s going throw no a cute pair of basic leggings with a light sweater or cardigan tunic combo and you’ve got a cozy lazy day look for splashing in some puddles.
As I mentioned sweaters are also a great way to dress up or down your rain boots. I am still loving my favorite Wild Fox sweater and I think it’s very light and airy fabric makes it perfect for spring. Pair it with some light jeans and your boots for a really cute and feminine look.
If you’re going for something even more feminine you can even wear your rain boots with a cute dress. I personally prefer to pair my boots with a really cute fit and flair or something a little less form fitting but any dress will work. Also on those breezier days you can throw on a pair of opaque tights or knee high socks to give your legs a little more coverage.
Finally my favorites piece to wear with a cute pair of Wellies is, of course, a beautiful trench coat. I totally suggest investing in a great trench coat for the spring. They will always be a classic staple for anyone, they are so versatile and can give any outfit that finishing touch. Mine is a Burberry Kensington mid length and I would never regret getting this coat. Their craftsman ship and design gives you an amazing shape.
It’s lovely to see you wearing your Trench and Wellingtons you look gorgeous, a perfect rainy day outfit, I slip my legs into my Wellingtons at the slightest hint of rain and my nylon Stockings always stay dry.
