4th of July Style Guide

Even though we have had nothing but rain for the last few weeks it is officially summer. It’s finally time to celebrate our beautiful country’s independence with the 4th of July. Now, along with fireworks and delicious food this is is a great holiday to pull out your best red, white and blue.  So today I pulled together some of my favorite outfit inspirations and pieces for the perfect festive look.

Gingham: This summer’s biggest trend I would say has to be gingham. Who doesn’t love looking like a picnic blanket at your family picnic?  All joking aside I actually really embraced this trend.  I think done right it can be really sweet and feminine.  The little ruffled skirt I think is my favorite piece and the cutest way to wear this print.

Stars: The new polka dots, I think this is so festive and perfect for the holiday. You couldn’t get any more American than a red white and blue shirt with stars.

Red, White,& Blue: Of course you can’t go wrong with going monochrome in one of these very patriotic colors. Go with a beautiful red dress, and add a cute white tennis shoe, and a bright blue scarf in your hair to really make your outfit themed.

Think Summer: No matter what I think the name of the game for any 4th of July outfit is to be fresh.  For your picnic, a day at the beach or backyard BBQ you can’t go wrong with a cute and casual dress or romper.  A cute pair of wedges or sneakers can dress the outfit down and allows you to still play all the corn hole until your heart’s content.
