5 Products for the Perfect Summer Glow

glow14I love a good summer glow if I had my way I would be golden brown all year long.  But, working a 9-5 in an office really doesn’t give you the opportunity to get out and get that natural tan, but there are so many amazing products out there to help you “fake it til you make it”

glow12.jpgInner Glow: The Becca Skin Perfector is exactly what the name says, perfection. I’ve had a sample of this product for quite some time and really didn’t understand what to do with it, then one day I decided to mix it with my foundation in the morning and my summer makeup routine has been changed. And it gave my skin the most beautiful glow.  I think my favorite part about this product is that it does have a color to it but it’s beautiful on any skin tone and you mix it with your foundation to great a custom color. If you have ever tried the Becca highlighters you have seen how powerful yet subtle the glow is from their products.  This has definitely gone from a product I just glanced at to being in my regular routine.

glow10Baked: Of course when it comes to summer skin being a golden brown is essential and as you know I love a good self-tanner.  It’s cheaper and easier than booking an appointment to get a spray tan and I don’t even have to go into the health benefits of not using a tanning bed.  As you also know I am an avid endorser of Loving Tan.  I think their products are not only made so well but they are also really affordable.  I absolutely love the Ultra Dark Tanning Mousse, but I recently tried the Dark 2 hour Express Mousse.  It’s not quite as rich of a color as the ultra dark but it’s so amazing if you’re in a pinch.  I use the Express if I have somewhere to be in the evening but really want a good tan.  Let it dry before getting dressed and you can let it develop while you go about your day.

glow8Bronzed: Of course if you’re body is going to be tan your face should have a good sun-kissed look as well.  Of course, a blogger holy grail product I also love is Hula by Benefit.  It’s a beautiful matte bronzer.  This one doesn’t have that orange tone some bronzers can have and it’s really easy to blend which is so nice. But along with Hula, I have been loving the Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi.  It’s a richer bronzer than Hula but it’s absolutely beautiful.  Like many of the Becca products, it has a really subtle shimmer to it which I think is fantastic for a summer tan.

S-P-F: Next, with more sun you definitely need to be thinking and taking care of your skin!  I can’t stress the importance of sunscreen enough.  Recently, I have been very aware of the amount of SPF my face products have. The Coola Dawn Patrol Primer has been another amazing addition to my morning routine.  This primer for one smells fresh and amazing and it also has 30 SPF which I think is amazing.  It also has a really great dewy finish and it leaves your skin flawless.  It feels very similar to the Smashbox Photofinish primer and it really holds your makeup in place beautifully.  I’ve even worn this product on my bare face to give a little SPF.

Rose Gold: Finally, to give a little extra glow I think the Urban Decay Naked Highlighting Fluids are amazing.  As I shared in a monthly favorite these highlights are subtle but so beautiful and easy to blend.  I absolutely love Aura, it’s a pink hue and I think it’s perfect for summer.  I like putting it on my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.  It gives you a really pretty sunkissed look by giving you a nice rosy glow.

What are your favorite products for summer? Have you tried any of these?
