5 ways to style overalls

We’re back again with another style post, I’ve said this before but I will say it forever, I love fashion.  I love how the same trends are always present just have been adapted to fit the times. I love the challenge of taking pieces I’ve bought years ago and making them look new or fit what’s trending.  So naturally, since overalls are still pretty present in fashion I thought it would be fun to show you how I style my skinny leg overalls.  What I love about this trend is how different they can be.  Wide leg, cropped, shorts, and skinny you can make them in so many colors and fabrics.  

Classic Casual: First I think one look that you can’t go wrong with is a basic t-shirt and strappy heels.  Here I went when a classic black v neck, but I think any cut and colored tee looks great under a pair of overalls.  I also love pairing such a casual piece with a dressy pair of heels to give the look a little more edge.

Cropped: Next, of course, the crop top is still a summer staple and looks fantastic with a pair of overalls.  just a little hip showing never looked so cute.  I love pairing my overalls with a cute cropped tank or t-shirt (Don’t: pair overalls with a thin strapped tank or bralette).

Off the Shoulder: This wouldn’t be a Dollface Diaries post without a nod to the off the shoulder top. I will literally pair one of these tops with any outfit.  For my overalls, I think my favorite is to pair it with one of my boho off the shoulder tops from Show Me Your Mumu.  They stay down beautifully and look so cute under any kind of overall for a 70s vibe.

Stripes and Sneaks: If you want more of a casual look I’m obsessed with wearing my shorts overalls with a black and white striped t-shirt and a pair of classic low top converse.  I think small horizontal striped shirts pairs so well with a pair of overalls. If you don’t like Converse I love a classic white sneaker for a fresh look as well.

Chilly Nights: Finally, either for a cooler night or in the fall I think pairing overalls with a knitted sweater is a great look, I love cropped sweaters with chunky knits and I think they are perfect with a pair of overalls.  Again, for maybe a more casual vibe, you can also pair a cropped or uncropped crew neck sweatshirt with overalls and sneakers for a really chic and comfy look.
