6 product make up look

Summer comes and I think my makeup routine seems to get really simplified.  There’s no need for a heavy contour or strong smokey eye, I find myself picking up my eyeliner less and really don’t put on much foundation.  Not only does this cut down on the amount of time it takes me to get ready in the morning but it also cuts down on the products I’m taking on a trip this summer so today I’ve put together a makeup look that requires just 6 easy products.  This has been my go-to look this summer and I love how glowy and bronzed it is.

Moisturizer: Of course moisturizer or some kind of base is very important.  I have been loving the Origins A Perfect World.  It’s an oil-free moisturizer that is supposed to create a barrier from everyday causes of aging, such as pollution and UV Rays.  It has SPF 40 which I think is fantastic especially in the summer time and it smells great.  It’s great for any skin type and the scent is so light and fresh I really love putting this on.  My only complaint would be that it’s really thick and takes a while to dry on the skin.

Foundation: As my skin gets more bronzed I find myself skipping the foundation more and more but right now I think I’ve found the perfect base combination to create the perfect dewy look.  I have been using a few drops of the Tarte Rainforest by the Sea Foundation (I’m the shade Light Sand) and mixing in the Becca Backlight Primer.  The Foundation has such a light weight coverage and really lets my skin breathe which is really great in the summer.  Mixed with the primer really gives your skin a fantastic glow and adds a slight shimmer.

look9Bronzer: No summer look is complete without a bit (read like a lot) of bronzer.  As you know I’m the biggest fan of a great glow.  The new Becca Sunlit Bronzers are to die for. They have 5 shades for every skin tone, the shade I’ve been using is Bronzed Bondi and it’s beautiful.  It’s medium amber color so it’s got a little red tone in it which I think is perfect for summer because it gives you that I have been baking in the sun all day feel.  It also has some tiny flecks of shimmer in it that are really subtle and when applied to the skin you can’t even see them. What I love most about this bronzer is how subtly it goes on.  It is really difficult to be too heavy handed with this product and it blends beautifully.  I have even been using this not only all over my face but in my crease as an eyeshadow to give my eyes a little dimension.

Highlight: What is a dewy makeup look without some highlight.  My holy grail highlight has been the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector highlight in Opal.  I add this to the high points on my face and even on my eyelids to brighten my eyes.

minimal5.jpgMascara: To finish off the eyes and make them pop mascara is the perfect finishing touch.  Thanks to Influencer I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to try out Monsieur Big by Lancome for free and it’s absolutely amazing. It gives just a bit of volume with amazing length.  My only problem with it is it’s a little wet and tends to clump lashes together really easily.

Brow pencil: Last but not least, a girl’s gotta do those brows. I’ve always had pretty full brows and I am loving that the unkempt brow look is so totally in.  I have been loving just brushing my brows up with the spooley on the end of my Brow Wiz Pencil and then just adding a few light strokes in the front and thin spots.  What I love about this product is the color selection and the shape.  Anastasia Beverly Hills has the most amazing selection of colors.  Most brow product come in 2 shades and it absolutely blows my mind.  There are so many shades of hair colors so I never understood why makeup companies couldn’t make more colors for brows.  But Anastasia did it right, I’m the color Caramel and it’s absolutely perfect.  The pencil is also an amazing share and really has a fine point that allows you to really get the perfect hair like lines.  I find it blends nicely and creates a really natural brow.  Like I said I’ll brush them up, fill them in making sure the tail of my brows are super sharp and bold and making the front quite bushy and kind of messy.  I feel like with this brow style you can get a great way to get that no-makeup makeup look.

Have you tried any of these products?
