Everything’s better in Texas

I love a good adventure, and this month I was lucky enough to let my wanderlust take over. My boyfriend and I went to Austin, Texas for a wedding! We had such a great time celebrating love, meeting old friends, and seeing the beautiful city.  After this trip Austin jumped to the top of the list of places I want to live.

We spent the our first two days exploring the city, particularly South Congress which we were staying just off of for the first leg of our trip.

We visiting some delicious Mexican restaurants, a really neat antique shop, and some beautiful boutiques.

Then, on Sunday was the wedding.  We had the most beautiful weather it stayed sunny and cool the entire day. The wedding was sweet and intimate, held in this adorable barn venue set back in a field.  It was such a dream wedding, bottomless mimosas, breakfast tacos, and a delicious salsa bar were the refreshments and we got to laugh and have a great time with some of Zack’s old friends.

Monday, we had a nice brunch with some people, visited the botanical garden and the most beautiful natural spring.  The spring had perfectly clear blue water, and was a balmy 67 degrees all year long, though in October it was a little less refreshing.  But I’m sure in the heat of the summer it’s the place to be.  The weekend was perfect, full of love, adventure and delicious food.  I came home wishing it would never end.

It was such a wonderful adventure, I hope one day I can make this exciting city home.

Have you ever been to Austin?  What was your favorite location?
