It’s officially two weeks ’til Christmas, and if you’re having a Grinch moment do I have some easy and simple outfits that are perfect for any of your holiday festivities. I’ve always loved getting dressed up. I love any excuse to don a cute outfit and it’s even better when there is a theme. The holidays always make dressing up a little difficult yet so enjoyable. You can create some really fun looks for casual holiday parties, friend parties, activities with the fam, or meeting your significant other’s family. These are some tried and true ideas you could never go wrong with and are sure to impress anymore.

Plaid pants
I love a fun plaid pant for a more casual event. These look so great dressed down with a pair of sneakers, flats, or Chelsea boots or dressed up with a pair of pumps. You can also pair them with many different tops. I love a black bodysuit with mine for a really sleek and put-together style. These are so perfect for chopping the tree with family, grabbing gluhwein with friends, or even your work holiday part.
Sweater Dress
If your holidays are a little more lowkey and you live in a colder climate like Chicago a cute sweater dress is a great option for any of your activities. Meeting at a bar, going to the family’s house for dinner, or meeting friends. I love pairing my sweater dress or skirt with some knee boots and tights to give you a warmer look. They are so versatile they can be fitted or loose, turtlenecks or chunky knit, and are just so cozy.
Little Red Dress
Give the little black dress a night off and bring out your favorite little red dress. Bonus points if you look like a little present. I’m obsessed with this dress I rented from Rent the Runway by Kate Spade. It’s the perfect holiday dress and so festive. Paired with tights it is more appropriate for your family holiday party or work event. As a petite gal, I feel like this dress made me look so much taller.

Sequins
Of course, you can’t have the holidays without a little sparkle. I love throwing on a beautiful sequin dress to ring in the new year, but they don’t have to be reserved for just New Year even I think there’s something so special about a pair of sequin pants, a little sequin top under a blazer, or even a sequin blazer to elevate any outfit.
Suit
Finally, and probably my most favorite is a good suit. For so many years my personal style was mostly feminine. I didn’t really branch into masculine silhouettes until my 20s. I didn’t really think they “suited” me. But now I think there is nothing more powerful than putting together a well-fitting suit. I feel like it could be so fun to step out of your comfort zone and be a little daring. I also know when I walk into a room filled with people in a good suit I’m feeling like a girl boss. So this year try wearing a bold-colored suit, throw in some sequins, or even a cool print. You can’t go wrong with a cropped blazer, wide-leg trousers, or even having the whole thing a little oversized.

You’ve got plenty to think about this holiday season, let your holiday looks work for you and be easy. There’s nothing more festive than, plaid, sequins, sweater dresses, reds, and my favorite this year a nice suit. Give these looks a try for whatever festivities your holidays hold.
