I love you Forever 21… but why?

Ever since I was in high school I have loved Forever 21.  I can remember my first dress from the store, I can also remember my very first trip to California and how excited I was to step foot in fashion heaven.  Since I’ve moved to Syracuse I have visited the remodeled two floor palace and still get much of my wardrobe there.  But I must say I have (more recently than before) been questioning their trend choices.

Some of the shirts are not friendly to anyone that isn’t a twig.  I am all about loving your body and being confident but I am also a large advocate for  dressing for your body type.  Some of the crop tops and dresses leave little to the imagination and aren’t flattering on anyone with curves.  I kind of wonder when they are designing the shape if they really think about who will be wearing their clothes.  I also question their t-shirt sayings… this is really what bothers me most.  I honestly want to know how many girls (and women) are really buying bandeaus blazoned with the word “Spoiled”  on it?  That’s terrible! Do you honestly want to go around advertising you’re a spoiled brat?  Its things like that I shake my head and say no owner women don’t get respect. There’s confidence and being proud of who you are then there is being a snob, or for lack of better words a spoiled brat.

Please Forever21 get more positive messages on your shirts.
