Its that time of year to show your mom a little extra love. My mom is absolutely my best friend, and I will be forever grateful for everything she’s done for me. From taking on a teacher role at middle school, to always being so positive and encouraging through all the moves we made when I was a kid. She sacrificed so much so that my sister and I could grow up with such amazing experiences. She traveled across state lines and even into different countries so we could participate in extracurricular activities we were passionate about. Coordinating carpools and somehow I swear she could even be in two places at once.
My mom is my hero, she taught me to be kind, friendly, and most importantly independent. I don’t know if I would have ever made the leap to move halfway across the country on my own without her pushing me to go after what I wanted all my life. I can always trust she’s just a phone call away and would drop everything to help even from Upstate New York. I know I didn’t say it enough as a kid but I am so thankful for all the wisdom and encouragement she gave and continues to give me every day.
May 12th is about celebrating all the mom’s in your life, it’s not an easy job and takes incredible patience. From grandma’s to friends with little ones, share your appreciation for these incredible women. If you’re looking for some gift ideas here are a few of my favorites.
