My Effortless French Girl Inspired Make Up Routine

I have probably done more research on this topic I am probably comfortable saying. Not only am I so envious of how natural and effortless French women look but for this trip we are living out of a van for the better part of a month and taking my full makeup routine along just isn’t realistic. But I’ve found six incredible products I have been using to create a simple summer skin.

CICAPAIRâ„¢ TIGER GRASS COLOR CORRECTING TREATMENT SPF30

For this trip, I decided to forego foundation. My reasoning for this was 1. we will have to wear masks in France and I hate getting makeup all over my mask, 2. Summer heat is never a great mix with foundation, and 3. I have recently started embracing the texture of my skin and it feels more French girl to say c’est la vie about acne. So instead of foundation AND sunscreen, I have been using the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Glass Color Correcting Treatment with SPF30. This is a green creme that color corrects and evens out the skin. I have already done through a full container in the last couple of months and this has been a repurchase for the trip. It works so well and I think it has also helped with my acne scars.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wax

I’ve talked about this product before and even shared it over on Instagram but it is something I can’t live without. Even on days where I wear no make-up, I will probably put some of this in my brows. This product gives you that amazing soap brow look so easily. I have fuller brows so I really don’t have to fill them in, but this product just makes my eyebrows look bold.

Hourglass Caution Extreme Mascara

I haven’t been doing too much with eyeshadow keeping the eyes pretty bare and natural but a must-have is long dark lashes and I love the Hourglass Caution Extreme Mascara for that. It’s such a great mascara and gives you so much length and volume without looking clumpy or drying out your lashes.

Glossier Cloud Paint – Storm

When I think of natural makeup I always think of Glossier, and I have to say the Cloud Paints will always be a product I always go back to. I’ve been using these on my cheeks, particularly the Storm which is a beautiful warm rose color. These are great because they are so buildable and a little goes a long way. I usually apply them with my fingers which makes them so easy to travel with. You can also use them on the eyes and lips. They are so versatile.

TooFaced Sun Bunny Bronzer

I’ve also been loving using the TooFaced Sun Bunny Bronzer on the crease of my eyes to give them a little dimension. This bronzer is fantastic for all over the face and gives your skin a slight glow that isn’t too shimmery.

Laneige Lip Treatment Balm

I think I’ve also talked about this baby over on my Instagram IGTV but I feel like it’s also been something I don’t leave home without lately. I use to love the Sleep Masks by Laneige and when I heard about this product I didn’t know how I would feel because the glosses didn’t do it for me. But During the Sephora Sale, I was convinced by an associate that I needed this and he wasn’t wrong. It has a slight iridescent shimmer to it, but it’s not too crazy. This lip treatment isn’t sticky at all and leaves my lips feeling soft and hydrated all day.

With these 6 products not only do they take up less room in my suitcase but I can also that french girl “je ne sais quoi”.
