Last weekend was incredible, took my first neighborhood wander through Rosco Village and am so excited about this weather to continue to get warmer. Every year I find my wardrobe in the fall and winter months get so dark. I tend to focus on darker neutrals like black, navy, and burgundies, but in the spring my color palette seems to get a lot brighter and more adventurous. This spring has some incredible color trends that I can’t wait to work into my wardrobe, here are just a few of my favorite color trends for spring and summer.

Pastel Pink
Pastels are going to be huge especially for spring and I find myself especially drawn to pinks. This season is all about very feminine cuts and ballet pink will be seen everywhere complimenting these fits. Check out lacey blouses or dresses in beautiful pink hues.
Neon Purple
As I mentioned in one of my Trend Alert posts neon clothing is going to be huge this season especially with all the festivals and concerts. I think Neon purple is a standout color for me. Lately, I’ve been using my favorite CosmoBeauty eyeshadow pots and just a little bit of water to create a cool bold cat eye. Their loose shadows are the perfect pigmentation and become so creamy when wet they’ve been such a game changer and really given me the opportunity to experiment they are going to be so fun to use for my summer concerts. If you’re feeling a bit bolder the neon trend has made its way into casual wear along with some incredible designer pieces. This is one trend I say everyone should try out.

Sunshine yellow
Of course, I couldn’t forget my all time favorite color in this list, I love anything yellow and this season I’m especially fond of the very gold, sunshine yellow. It’s such a warm color and I feel like it looks incredible on most skin tones. Another thing I love about it is that it transitions so beautifully into fall so so when it’s warm throw on a bag like the one I have here with a cute bohemian look for a pop of color but it also looks so beautiful with this turquoise long sleeve dress for a cooler day.

Military Green
As a military kid, I love seeing this color make its way back into rotation and it’s such a powerful one. I love obviously styling pieces with a military flare in this color, but it’s so versatile, as a dress it can be very commanding yet feminine and then I also love wearing my dad’s old jackets over a pair of shorts and lace-up boots for a move edgy grunge look.
Red
Finally, a beautiful cherry red never goes out of style, obviously on the lips is the easiest and most universal way to wear this trend but I also love it as an accessory just the move beautiful bold piece as a bag, but this season the retro looks are coming back as tops and gorgeous dresses.
