The other week I did my first ASOS order in months and was sadly disappointed in the sizing I found in the box. Everything seemed very very oversized and like I was swimming in the pieces. Now even being 5’0″ I still feel like depending on the item I can still wear regular pieces when petite isn’t an option. I know I’m a bit stubborn and should just realize that I am petite and stick to what’s made and fits me best. But after this disaster, I think I need to explore new sizes in my favorite brands and spend more time shopping for petite-sized items.

So first when it comes to jeans ASOS and Topshop have the best petite jean options. The petite line runs in I think a 28″ inseam which is perfect and hits my ankle at the perfect spot. I love ASOS’s high rise, they are stretchy and the perfect thickness, the Jamie and Mom Jeans by Topshop are also my favorite go-to, they are a little stiffer and feel more like natural denim.

Before this last order, I was shopping on both regular and petite categories of ASOS’s wide selection of items. But I’ve come to grips that what I do love about ASOS is especially with their ASOS own collection they cater pieces to your body type. They create items for only tall or only petite. They make shopping for your body type easy.
Other brands that create petite specific items are:
No matter the brand it is so important to take into consideration irregular body types. The future of fashion should be all-inclusive and allow all body types to feel confident in what they wear. What is your favorite brand that creates alternative sizing?
