I don’t know about you but I’m starting to resent my sweatpants… looking at them immediately makes me feel lazy. And lately, I’ve wanted nothing to do with them. But I also don’t want to sacrifice comfort for a “real outfit when the farthest I’m going is from my desk to the fridge. So if you’re like me and need a break for your sweat sets or if they just need a good washing here are some cute and comfortable looks to wear around the house
Jean and a Basic White T-Shirt
Of course a classic, perfect for in or out of the office. This look is easy and effortless. I personally love t-shirt style bodysuits to tuck into my high waisted jeans. There’s no fuss with tucking and bunching and they lay beautifully. I’m also a purist when it comes to my jeans. It’s high waist or nothing over here. I love how flattering the fit is. Some of my favorite brands of jeans are Topshop, Levi, and Joe’s Jeans for the perfect high waist. ASOS also makes a great option in the perfect petite length. This is also a great look to throw on a blazer to dress up the look for your client call or office meeting.

Midi Skirt and Cropped Sweater
It’s still kind of chilly these days so I’m still wearing sweaters. But someday I want to get a little dolled up so a midi skirt cropped sweater combo is perfect for a feminine option. Try a dainty floral print and a neutral high neck sweater for the perfect spring vibe.
Relaxed Fit Overalls
I have recently fallen back in love with overalls. My favorite before were skinny overalls, but lately, I’ve been loving relaxed leg fit, you can throw them on over just about anything, hoodies, sweaters, t-shirts, and even tanks. Roll the ankle for a really comfortable relaxed look.
Romper or Jumpsuit
I think the emerging trend here is versatility and simplicity. I like simple outfits I don’t have to think about when I’m spending my day at home. So a romper or jumpsuit is perfect easy pieces to throw on that is all one piece. Try a bright color or fun pattern to spice up your one-piece look.
Linen Wide-Leg Pants
Conversely to the sweater with the midi skirt as the weather gets warmer, lighter fabrics will keep you cooler during the day, and I love a good breezy fabric so linen wide-leg pants are the perfect way to stay cool on warmer days while still looking put together. Pair with a cute peasant top for the perfect bohemian look.

Floaty Maxi Dress
Of course, it’s not a summer/spring outfit post on Dollface Diaries if I didn’t mention maxi dresses but they are honestly my favorite throw on pieces for this time of year. Toss on a simple maxi dress, hair in a messy bun and you’ve got a cute carefree look. I also love pairing my maxi dresses with a cute cardigan or even layer a t-shirt under. Just like overalls, they are the perfect throw on a go piece.
Gym Kit
Finally, this one is a little different and you’re probably thinking I’m crazy for having this in here but stay with me. In the morning switch out your sweat set for a cute matching gym kit. Not only do you feel sporty and put together but this is also the perfect motivation for your morning or lunch break work out. I love to pair my gym kits with a cute cropped hoodie or zip up to not look too lazy but still be comfortable. While being stuck inside finding the motivation to work out is hard so if you dress for it you kind of don’t have an excuse!
Benefits of getting dressed everyday while working from home:
But staying in sweats is so easy and comfortable why change? Our bodies thrive on routine. Changing out of comfy clothes sends the signal to your brain that it’s time to get up and switch into work mode. This helps you switch your mindset to a more productive frame just as much as going and sitting at a desk instead of on the couch or in bed. Putting on a little bit of makeup and a new outfit can also make you feel fresh and clean and energized for your day which again can promote productivity. You don’t have to be in a full suit or uncomfortable dress all day to be productive and ready to work, there is a balance of simple and comfortable that you can find to keep up your mood and still be easy to sit around in. So let me know in the comments if you’ve been getting dressed every day or sticking with sweats.

Your make up is so pretty in all these photos! Also, I absolutely love the wash of your jeans.
