Skin Care Ingredients for Youthful Skin

I have always had just normal skin, I’ve been lucky that I didn’t fight crazy acne and I still only get the occasional spot and my skin doesn’t scar too easily and I don’t have any discoloration. Although my skin hasn’t had too many issues it has never been very glowy.  I have tried primers that promise a dewy complexion and other oils and serums that say the same.  But nothing has ever really done the trick. That is until I did a little research and found the following products that have really changed the game.

Witch Hazle

If you do have acne prone skin finding a facewash with Witch Hazel in it will make such a difference. Witch Hazle is an anti-inflammatory and also has antioxidant properties that can help calm and soothe your breakouts. When my skin is a bit temperamental I pull out the facewash with Witch Hazel.  Brands like Burts Bees have natural facewashes which are also great for sensitive skin that contain this natural ingredient.

Lactic Acid

Often found in facial peels this chemical has become a very popular ingredient in different skin care products.  It can help with acne breakouts and also reduces the signs of dark spots, acne scarring, and wrinkles. This magical ingredient speeds up the skin’s process of removing dead skin cells and also promotes the growth of collagen.  I added Sunday Riley’s Good Genes Serum to my nightly routine, with the main ingredient being Lactic Acid it gives my skin that little boost while I sleep so I wake up and my skin is rejuvenated.

Vitamin C

Not only is it great for your immune system but it’s also like the sun in a bottle for your skin, it’s also an antioxidant and has antiaging properties. It also helps prevent damage. I love the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum, I add a pump of this to my skin before my moisturizer under my makeup and I feel like it locks in moisture and keeps my skin bright.

Glycolic Acid

Like Lactic Acid, this miracle ingredient is often used in facials to rejuvenate skin cells. This ingredient traps moisture and helps keep skin hydrated. It also helps your skin get rid of old cells to reveal younger healthier skin. Products like Glossier’s Solution includes this ingredient.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic Acid instead of stripping the skin does the opposite and helps plump and Hydrate.  I love taking Hum’s Glow Sweet Glow hum gummy vitamins every morning to work with my serums to bring out my skins glow from the inside.  (If you would like to try these or any of the HUM products use my code 11D31B for $10 off your first purchase)

A few other skincare products I have been loving to help my skin when it’s feeling a little dull are the Pathology eye and lip masks these are so easy to use, I love putting the eye masks in the freezer to a few minutes before using them the chill reduces puffiness and soothes the skin. Of course, SPF is so important if you want to keep your skin radiant and glowing, even on rainy days it is important to protect your skin from sun damage. Finally, another product I like to take as a vitamin is Collagen.  Some of the aforementioned products help promote the development of Collagen in the skin, so I love taking it with the HUM Collagen Love to give my skin that extra boost and firmness.

Have you tried any of these products?
