Spring Work Wear

Usually, I keep my outfits pretty casual, or a bit unconventional for a traditional office, and luckily I work in an office that 1) I spend most of my week working from home and 2) have a really relaxed dress code. I can wear anything from a crop top to yoga pants (not together obviously) but they really give me the freedom to be creative with my style. But sometimes I do love to dress a little more “professional” and this season has some fantastic trends that make dressing “business casual” fun.

Paper Bag Waist Trousers and Mules

Paper bag waist is a great way to elevate your trousers, I love the sweet bow detail and the way they sit high on your waist. They are so flattering and make your legs look really long. I also think there’s something so sophisticated about a good heeled mule. These white ones are definitely a favorite how they stand out with such a monochromatic look.

Blazers and Shorts

While the weather starts to get warmer it is just about shorts season. I am looking forward to paring my favorite shorts with floaty blouses and button-down tops but I am also loving the suit blazers paired with shorts. There’s something so chic about a matching jacket short set paired with a strong pair of pumps.

Floral Dresses and strappy heels

As per usual florals will always be on trend in spring. Bohemian style is always my favorite in the spring and summer so floaty floral dresses are always on trend. Pair with a sweet pair of strappy heels and tights on those colder days for a really cute and business casual look.

Midi Skirts and Bodysuits

Typically people would say petite girls shouldn’t wear midi skirts because it can make you appear shorter, but I have to disagree. I love a good pencil skirt in a midi length, as long as it skims your figure it can be really elongating. Pair with a bodysuit to lengthen the waistline to create a seamless look.

Wrap Dress

Finally, on those days you have nothing to wear or aren’t feeling too creative I always say a wrap dress is the perfect sophisticated dress style. It is flattering on any figure. The wrap always sits in the perfect natural waist and gives you a beautiful hourglass figure. You can dress a wrap dress up or down for a sweet spring look.
