Single or in a relationship you don’t have to hate Valentine’s Day. Instead of seeing the holiday as a way to sell flowers and chocolate I think to think of it as a way to celebrate the people you love. I personally love any excuse to wear red and get dressed up so these are some of my favorite outfit ideas for whatever your plans are this Valentine’s Day.

Galentine’s Day
I’m a big advocate for Galentine’s Day. Even years I had a boyfriend, I loved taking some time for my gal pals on this holiday instead of putting the pressure on my relationship. In college, as I’ve said before, my best friends and I loved dressing up and going to a fancy dinner together. If you’re feeling more of a lowkey day of dinner and a fun date like bowling with your friends I think a cute cozy sweater with jeans and a pair of over the knee boots. This look is perfect for whatever you’re doing during the day and can be transitioned to a fun evening with the girls.

Night In
Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day at home watching Netflix by yourself (like this girl), with friends, or with your boo I love a cute pj set. Of course, anything with hearts is adorable and festive and perfect for the holiday. Along with a pj set, I’m a sucker for a cute and soft pair of socks. So sit down with your list of romantic comedies, wine and your favorite pink nail polish for a relaxing night in.

Romantic Date
Finally, if your Valentine’s Day involves a romantic dinner or event you can never go wrong with a little red dress. I am also a huge fan of burgundy if you don’t feel like you can pull of a bright red. I think burgundy is perfect of any skin tone and is also such a beautiful color in the winter. Pair your dress with a pair of black tights and heels if you’re in a colder climate like myself. To add the finishing touch to any Valentine’s Day look I’m also obsessed with this beautiful pink coat I found on ASOS. Any red or pink coat is such a fantastic statement piece.
