Wedding Season Essentials

It’s time for all those wedding bells to be ringing!  Quite a few of my friends and coworkers are already saying their “I dos” and as I said in my last post about traveling in style my elementary school best friend kicked off wedding season for me!  Other than starting off with the  the usual dress code, or seasonal trends I thought I would give you what I make sure to have with me from ceremony to reception along with some essentials I was kindly gifted by Influenster in their Blush Vox Box!

Pashmina Scarves are great especially for those later in the season weddings or colder evenings.  Instead of carrying around a jacket these are beautiful to throw around your shoulders, they’re cheap, and come in many colors.

Another clothing essential I have to mention are an extra pair of flats.  I like to bring a big enough clutch to toss a pair of small flats in or leave them in the car just incase my heels get unbearable.  Just knowing you have relief near by is a great way to dance the night away in peace.

I also like to make sure I have a little baggie of extra bobbie pins and a safety pin in my clutch.  Last year at the wedding we celebrated in Austin the clasp on my dress broke and I had wished I had a safety pin to temporarily fix it, so after that fiasco I will never attend another wedding without one.

Of course you want to make sure the lip color you’re wearing is packed in your bag for touch ups between the ceremony, dinner, and of course cake. Also, a handy thing to have is a nice travel size of your perfume.  When you’re tearing up the dance floor it’s nice to get away and freshin’ up before that romantic slow dance with your plus one.

And finally to the products that Influenster decided are perfect for any wedding day. My top choice is the Simple Miceller Wipes.  I put the water in one of my favorites a few months ago and I have to say I’m still obsessed with this stuff.  It is free of scent and is perfect for anyone with sensitive skin, it leaves my skin feeling really clean and hydrated after using it.  The wipes are perfect to toss in your bag for that quick freshin’ up.

My second choice would be the Ardell false lashes.  I have lash extensions already so they save me so much time getting ready, I never have to wear mascara anymore. For wedding season these falsies are perfect to give your eyes that little extra pop.  The ones I was given I think are the perfect size to still look rather natural.  False lashes can be tricky but with patience and practice they are so worth it.

My final top three product would have to be the Secret travel deodorant.  Going alone with the wipes and the perfume this is just one other guard to keep you feeling fresh and dry through the entire day.  The ceremony can be long and often times in the summer receptions may be held outside so this deodorant can keep you feeling dry all day.

I really hope you enjoyed this list, what are your top essentials for the upcoming weddings you’re going to? Do you want to hear my thoughts on all the products I received in my Vox Box?
