What I’m Buying From the Sephora Sale

Three words… seventeen letters… a phrase I look forward to hearing every year… yeah you guessed it, it’s the Sephora Spring Sale. Sephora rarely ever does sales but when they do it’s not something you should pass up. Starting April 15th for Insiders get 10% off your entire order (VIB Rouge gets a headstart on the 9th and 20%). This doesn’t happen often so if you’re a beauty junkie like myself this is the time to stock up or try those products you’ve been eyeing but just can’t justify. Here are the things sitting in my shopping cart right now.

Of course, I’ve got a massive list of skincare products ready to go. If I had to pick one category I spend the most on it’s probably skincare. My acne-prone skin has finally started to clear up and I think it’s because I’ve been taking a close look at the products I’m putting on it. I make sure my products are (for the most part clean) formulated for oily or acne-prone skin and I try to keep things simple.

I have also added a gua sha stone into my skincare routine and have seen a huge difference in the tightness of my skin. It is so important to use oils on your skin when using the stone to make sure it slides easily across the skin and doesn’t tug and cause wrinkles. I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on the best oils to use and I’m excited to try out a couple from brands like Drunk Elephant and the Herbivore.

There are also some essentials I just can’t live without like my Laneige lip sleep mask, Good Genes by Sunday Riley, and the Isle of Paradise tanning oil.

Because I’m trying to focus on clearing up my skin, my makeup routine has become pretty minimal. My secret weapon lately has been the Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment, it’s for acne-prone skin and starts out green but as it warms it corrects to the color of your skin. I think that has made a huge difference in my breakouts lately and is a great alternative to a tinted moisturizer or foundation. The Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow pallets are so beautiful and I’ve been eyeing them for so long, I have also heard amazing things about the Fenty Beauty liquid lipsticks, and the red looks like the perfect universal red.

We’re also coming up on summer heat and that means we need to take precautions to make sure our makeup stays all day. I’ve been wanting to try the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer, of course, my girl Mikayla on TikTok raves about it so I’ve been wanting to try it. I also can’t live without my Urban Decay setting spray so you know I’ll be picking up a backup to keep on hand.

Speaking of backups there are a few holy grail products that I just can’t live without if I notice I’m running even kind of low I’m always getting a backup so when the Sephora sale comes around these are the products that are always in the basket.

My Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is the best concealer I’ve ever used, I have to pick up the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen because you know how I feel about SPF coverage, I also recently purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wax that went viral and it’s life-changing, since it’s always sold out I feel like adding that one to the backstock isn’t a bad idea.

I also have a couple of hair care essentials such as Olaplext no 3 and no 7 they keep my color-treated hair so soft and healthy. I also can’t style my hair without the bumble and bumble invisible oil primer, it’s heat and UV protection is an absolute must if you use heat tools.

Finally, hair care is an area I’m very particular with because I get my hair colored I want to make sure all the products I put on it will help the longevity of my color and keep my hair strong and healthy. I love a good dry shampoo to extend my time between washes, I’m also in love with the Living Proof color shampoo and conditioners for blonde hair, these are great for neutralizing brassy tones in your colored hair without adding a purple hue as the purple shampoos do. Finally, I have also been loving the air dry wave gel from bumble and bumble. I’ve been trying to find products to enhance my natural wave and cut down on the amount of heat I put on my hair. This stuff is a great texture gel without the crunch of the early 2000s. It also has a UV protectant in it to protect your hair from sun exposure.

This has all been sitting in my shopping cart in anticipation of the sale and I can’t wait to try some of these new products. Were you planning on shopping the sale? What products do you always pick up at Sephora?
